VOLTA Art Fair fosters galleries in staging ambitious solo and group presentations, refining the experience to its essential elements: the artists and their work. This focus on compelling visual statements by up-and-coming and established artists cultivates a vibrant and approachable environment of discovery for the engaged collector.

VOLTA debuted in Basel in 2005 as an art fair collaboration between dealers and friends. The aim was to secure a platform for international galleries beyond young art fair Liste and market heavyweight Art Basel. VOLTA’s New York fair followed in 2008, offering a boutique alternative to the larger fairs.

In autumn 2019, VOLTA joined the Ramsay Fairs portfolio, and now with successful editions in New York and Basel from 2021, VOLTA continues to be the platform for younger galleries to participate in the art markets’ major cities.

Presenting visionary projects from galleries at the cutting edge of contemporary art, VOLTA Art Fair returns to Basel in 2024 from 10 – 16 June at Klybeck 610, Gartnerstrasse 2, 4057.

The New York edition will take place at Chelsea Industrial (West 28th Street) from 4 - 8 September 2024.
